Pumpkin Pull-Apart

Earlier I showed you how to make your own pumpkin pie puree, now here is a use for it!

Spring Peep Cupcake

Spring Peep Cupcakes

This was super easy and fast.  Just use your favorite box mix followed by homemade or store bought light colored frosting.  Cut the tail off the peep and place in center of cupcake frosting to hold.

Gently pull apart cotton candy in yellow (or your choice) and place in the frosting around the peep.  The cotton candy will melt from the frosting so it is best to eat them pretty quickly or wait to decorate right before serving.

The kids thought this was so cute and asked me to make them for their classmates too!

Nutella Rice Krispies Gluten Free #Nutella

OK, so this past weekend we tried something new. We added Nutella to our rice krispy treats. Sorry, we had to borrow a picture as the pan was attacked by a hungry mob of people!  Read your labels to make sure gluten free but these items generally are gluten free.

Nutella Rice Krispies
 
Chocolate, hazelnut, gooey, sticky rice krispy treats! Satisfies all those cravings.

Ingredients
  • 6 cups of rice krispies
  • 1 bag of large marshmellows
  • 3 T butter
  • ⅓ cup of Nutella
Instructions
  1. Grease 9 x 13 pan with butter or cooking spray
  2. Place rice krispies in a large bowl
  3. Place nutella, marshmellows, butter in microwavable bowl
  4. Microwave on 1 minute, but stop when marshmellows have puffed up and are melty
  5. Stir until butter, nutella and marshmellows (work fast!) are mixed and add to rice krispies
  6. Stir until blended and dump in pan (still working fast!)
  7. Dampen fingers with water and push into pan
  8. Let cool
  9. Enjoy!
