Teriyaki Salmon Burger

It’s the beginning of the season when Friday’s mean “no meat” until Easter.  Every year, we try to come up with some different meal plans because, let’s face it, it can be hard to find great “no meat” meals that everyone can enjoy.  We are tired of pizza, pasta and fish fry Fridays.

I happily found out that my kids will eat salmon.  So now it has become a mission to find different ways to eat it besides on a cedar plank.  I know the kids love burgers.  I know the kids love teriyaki, so I combined them into a Teriyaki Salmon Burger.

It takes about 12 minutes to make dinner using premade salmon burgers.  Or, you could make salmon patties and then freeze them for future Fridays?  Here is a link to Better Homes and Garden Salmon Patty recipe in case you want to make them now!


Salmon patty

Teriyaki sauce (your fav bottle)

Sweet Onion, raw and sliced

Bun (your fav)


Cook your patty until done, approximately 12 minutes, flipping half way through.  Place all ingredients on your bun and eat!

I know this seems pretty silly, but sometimes we just need a little reminder that there are many things out there that can be a healthy alternative to “no meat” Fridays.
